Introduction

Launched in 1966 as the VNL2T, the Vespa 125 GT was a pivotal "Grand Touring" model designed to bridge the gap between smaller utility scooters and the faster 150cc Sprint. Distinguished by the sharp, boxy styling typical of late-1960s largeframe Vespas, it featured a comfortable flat dual seat and a signature trapezoidal headlight. A significant mechanical evolution from its predecessor, the Vespa Super, was the upgrade to 10-inch wheels, which greatly improved high-speed stability and handling to justify its touring status. Powered by a robust 123cc, 2-stroke engine with a 4-speed manual transmission, the 125 GT is celebrated today by collectors for its blend of elegant lines and reliable chassis performance.
